Yet Another Not a YouTube Movie of the Day - March 6, 2008

I love Flash animation, so newgrounds.com has a cozy nook in my bookmark list. I was shuffling around the site last night when a wave of nostalgia crashed over me. I remember when I was a kid, and I would draw out these massive wars on lined notebook paper. It would start out with a bunch of soldiers, then they would shoot the fuck out of each other, then planes would come and start dropping bombs, then a tank would barrel through the battlefield and own a bunch of corpses with its treads, then a giant robot would stomp in and fire fuck the rest of the living with laser eyes. I would spend hours doing this, and at the end, my sheet of paper was black with scribbled gore.
Did anyone else do that? Am I just crazy? I believe the latter wholeheartedly, but if the former happens to be the case, you'll love this little Flash clip. Just hit "watch movie" and get ready for your 4th grade day dreams to spring to life.

You are not crazy, at least not in this respect. The most awesome invention to me was the endless scrolls of computer paper. This equalled endless battles... Sweet sweet memories

I'm probably a few years later than you but I vented my creativity into hours of custom map making in Command & Conquer: Red Alert 2. Holy shit the carnage. I miss that mindless bloodshed.
